Just to record that my brother rang me about an hour or so ago. Dad died at 11.45 2 June 2011, born 16 December 1922 age 88. RIP WIlliam (Bill) Oliver.
I just wanted to see him comfortable. The pold old guy spent so much of his life treating himself badly, I felt he deserved something else, but it was never to be.
I didn't have too much time to post much earlier and quite frankly just didn't feel like it for obvious reasons either.
There's numerous times in the last 24 hours that I've stopped and spared a moment to think about you and what you're going through. The loss of a loved one is never easy to deal with and yours must be a million times harder than mine.
thanks, it's been an odd kind of day. I didn't go to work but apart from a few phone calls had nothing to do really so I had a couple of pints and then promptly fell asleep.
I've not seen much of Dad in my adult life other than when he was ill a few years ago and then again last Monday. I never expected to be the last one of the family to see him.
So I'm sat here on my own, not sure really what to do with myself. To be honest bed I think and a fresh start to a new day.
Thank you Neil expecially when you've your own loss. Thank you.
