38 and not dead...

Well as some may have gathered it was my 38th birthday yesterday, which I did nothing to adverstise, but thank you to those who have / will offer best wishes.
An odd year all told, last autumn completely wrapped up in trying to sort out the Leeds job, winter was trying to recover from the disaster that was the Leeds job, Spring all looked well until chicken pox rather spoiled things for me.
The summer was OK but a little dull, no festivals, just the trip to Lindisfarne in June which was rather damp and ended up being too costly.
Money has been a big issue for me this year as I have never quite managed to obey the Micawber Principle in the past so I am trying to do so, whilst still trying to have a life and do the OU degree I've started on.
What else? Family relations are at least back on a cordial basis and my fitness is back up to it's usual standards, but no better. The whole gym thing kind of got lost in the Leeds/chicken pox aftermath. I still do a little conservation work and may even be joining a different morris dance side this month.
Anyway I wish you well and thank you all for your friendship & support this year.

Date: 2007-09-09 10:11 pm (UTC)Happy birthday for yesterday too, we should celebrate the day we were brought into the world, regardless of who is there to celebrate with us, I think.
Hoping to see you at the Winter Ball (if it happens) and the next Unofficial Fop Day Picnic August 2008. It was a delight to have you there this year.
