After a bout of food poisening last Thursday, which rather scuppered any plans for Friday I may have had today was the first day of my week off in Sheffield and has mainly been spent reading Jasper Fforde in the botanical gardens.

I have to say the gardens and the glass houses are looking top notch at the moment, hiwever the thing I liked most were the cactii, now I hadn't realised I was a big catus' fan, but I think I may be.

Anyway I appear to have picked a good week for skiving off, and may go and see the Harry Potter film sometime during the week.

Funny you should mention cacti I have just been to B&Q to order some new taps and i wandered into the garden section, there were several sets of 3 little cacti for £2 sat on shelves looking not so happy.
They didn't look well looked after so I took pity on them and brought them home most gardeners would say it is foolish to buy plants that don't look well but I used to be a bit of a cacti expert when I was a teenager I had over a hundred of the spikey little beasts.

I've seen the Harry Potter film once, but it's fun enough to watch again, so give me a shout if you want some company at the cinema.

I finished Forth Bear yesterday, and decided to read all the Thursday next before I read the new one, so I'm reading Eyre Affair.
