Popped down to Westways and the eighties chees scared me off, so I went down to the general cemetary for the festival of light which was basically an excuse for hippies to play with fire, but very pretty it was too.

You missed some marvellous free food and it all got better once the hospital radio DJ buggered off, though I did get Pete to dance to the Birdie Song in his chicken outfit!

Arse. Missed it. In fact, didn't even know about it at all. We watched recorded TV (a previously thought lost copy of The Long Game from last series of Who!).

It was very good, lots of big lanterns in the shape badgers, swans, horse's heads, PENGUINS!, scary things, yellow submarines and much more! Many fire dancers, and a flaming dafodil motif about six feet high plus firewoks.

I think it is usually scheduled as the clocks go forward, but rain put it back a couple of weeks this year.
