4 years on
Sep. 1st, 2012 11:15 amWell as i worked out durring a recent post on longrat's journal, it is now 4 years since I finished working in Sheffield. I left because everything seemed so "samey" and of course everyone's lives have changed with children, marriages and much more.
My life has changed, but many of my concerns in life are much the same, health, wealth, friends, Doctor Who, Morris & folk, church and spirituality. That said my sleep and eating patterns are much more under control, I drink very little, I do watch too much TV and exercise too little. My career has progressed as has my confidence in my abilities and my knowledge of my limits has improved and why I shouldn't worry about things I'll never be able to do.
So that's all good. Lots to do at work and now that I'm well past the issues that dealing with the family and Dad's funeral caused I'll look forward again. But four years is too damn long to be basically living on my own without an immediate community. Gar too long.
