No more morris

Well short update, after a dull dance out on Monday I've decided to take a break from the Morris dancing for 2004/05. I seem to have been spending a lot of money and time hanging around a bunch of people I've never managed to get to know very well. With a couple of honourable exceptions (Rich / Ruth), I don't have a lot to say to most of them. The problem is I'm not a musician and I'm still not v good at asking random people to dance at ceilidhs so I seem to be spending a lot of time alone at these things.

Now you may say this is my problem not theirs and you'd be right! However I'm bored with being on the fringes of events and would rather be more involved with any particular group of people. I'm certainly more interested in trying to get the ceilidh calling up and running and spending more time with the goths.

So bit of a change of direction for 2004-2005. We'll see how it goes!

Hey man, soz to hear you feel that way. I've enjoyed you being at boggarts ! I respect your reasons though.

Well yes I did, but sheffield ceilidhs are more like home ground rather than being in some distant part of the UK.

Anyway it got me a very good friend for life and more. That's what I mean. I need to be in surroundings where my confidence is on top form so I can make the connections that I am actually very good at. I loose so much being in places where I'm unsure of myself.

Sub-text I am really bored being on my own and I want to focus my social life again on areas that are actually sociable!

Yay! Spend more time with goths! You know you want to. You can achieve this by spending more time at Commonside, as there are goths here!
