45 years ago on a Monday morning, much as today Frances went into hospital, she already had two sons, the loss of a child she had never met and a difficult man to live with. Her final son was unplanned, but at 4 pm Neil was born. Maybe one day earlier that summer she had heard another Neil take one small step for mankind. I like to think so. Five short years later cancer took her from her sons. So a reminder of the girl with a guitar, the cycling scout-mistress, the woman who took a camera everywhere 50 years before the rest of us. A woman of faith and a mother to the end. Thanks Mum x

That's a lovely post. I had no idea you lost your mother so young, but it's a lovely tribute to her.
