Noise and silence

I sill my days with noise
Work radio TV and news

trying to fill the space filled by solitude

and then I find the silence
a moment a space a gap

and it's nothing to be scared of

I'm filled by it and embrace it for a while
My thoughts well up and the Time Team go quiet

there's banging in another flat
maybe a motor bike going by

but there is silence again and space to breath.
