Gym

OK did an hour at the gym and was still in work for 9 am.  I'm trying to get used to early starts.

I wish I remembered that when I feel ill and run down sometime sw workout is really the best thing for me.

Which Gym do you use? And is it very expensive?

I paid about £200 (corporate membership) for the year, the poster on the door says from £14 pcm and IIRC there is a special deal running up to xmas. I'll check on that for you.

The gym is 'supreme fitness' and they have two sites, between the Ask bar and Wetherspoons in Barkers pool and near Debenhams on the moor.

Membership includes a personal trainer every vist (booked in advance) which is a great help for geeky types. Also weighing, measuring diet advice.
The equipment is basic cardio vascular and there aren't any muscle marys, at least not when I go.

I'd really recomend them and can get you a free day pass with induction if you'd like?

Okay, so I'm sort of interested.

But give me a few days to assess if my natural hang ups are going to mar my capacity to get anything out of this. Curse my nerdy, gangley, pot bellied body! Curse even more my embarassment at it that stops me doing anything about it.

A workout is good, but if you're under the weather it pays not to push the envelope or prod the jiffy bag too hard. Especially when you get to our age ;-).

Oh I know what you're saying, but my idea of a workout is proably your idea of a warmup!

My life is very sedentary and getting moving is very worthwhile. and the advantage of having a trainer means I'm supervised in what I do, thus making it less likely to push too hard.
