Right I now have just over a week to move my life to Scotland and I don't even have a contract yet.  I was up in Scotland at the weekend and have found somewhere to live in a converted school house.  rather odly I met my team leader and sat at my desk as well, which is a little unusual two weeks before I start.  I will get stuff sorted, bu it'll be fun!
